Former Hall County deputy arrested for allegedly misusing Flock camera system, GBI says
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A former Hall County deputy has been arrested for allegedly misusing the Flock camera system, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
On Wednesday, the GBI said it charged Justin Brown with two counts of misuse of a license plate reader system and two counts of violation of oath of office.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office conducted an internal audit last month, which flagged Brown’s activity. Brown allegedly used the system for non-law enforcement purposes.
In recent months, dozens, if not hundreds, of law enforcement officers have been fired and arrested for allegedly misusing their department’s Flock cameras all over the nation, including in Georgia.
